Reflection, a significant element of effective service-learning, consists of the use of creative and critical thinking skills in order to prepare for, think about, and learn from the service-learning experience. Processing or reconstructing the service experience helps to make the connection to learning.  In high quality service-learning, reflection occurs throughout the process and can take many different forms.

These 50 Reflection cards are designed by students, for students to enrich reflection while incorporating youth voice and reinforcing the wealth of learning that takes place during service-learning. Each card contains directions for completing a reflection activity before, during, or after a service-learning experience in one of multiple intelligence areas.
